Pandora and Epimetheus figures painted after El Greco sculptures in foreground. Atlas and Prometheus pictured in background.  Oil on linen coated wood, 28" x 28" on a 6" deep reinforced panel suitable for display as a free standing work as well as hung traditionally.

This is a self portrait of me painting Allen Dulles. It is done in oil on wood, and measures 22" x 24".

Historic Portraits

Each work in this ongoing series is painted from old, mostly black and white photographs. Done in oil on specialty paper or linen, all slightly different.  They range in size from 9" x 11" to 18" x 24", and, though decidedly impressionistic, vary in style according to my experience of the characters through their contributions to culture. In their own way, I believe each of these people was "before their time" and made a lasting impression on our collective psyche.

Little Portrait of Nikola Tesla

This little portrait of Tesla inspired me to produce my ongoing series of historic portraits.
